Last Saturday, the extended varsity squad headed away for their penultimate varsity warm-up match vs Sheffield. With the rain falling heavily and the pitch more bog than grass, the lads ground out a brutal 20-4 victory with everyone pleased in the knowledge that they put their name in the hat for the final 19-man Match Day Varsity Squad.

Cutting the exceptionally strong 22-man squad down to 19 has given Blues Captain, James Clark, and the coaching staff many headaches. With the final decisions made, a filthy squad to take on Cambridge on the 4th of March has been revealed. With no starting place set in stone, the boys will be training hard looking to secure their place after the coming local Derby. The Squad is as follows:

Jordan Ayling (Magdalen)

Alex Babb (SPC)

Sam Bainbridge (St Catz)*

Matt Brady (SPC)

James Clark (BNC)* ©

Gareth Davies (Wadham)*

Yoni Dennis (Wadham)*
